Dear Friends,
It is indeed a great honour for me and a moment of pride to take charge of this very senior, august society “Hernia Society of India as president for 2023 – 2025. I am fully aware that it is only with love from all members of society, confidence & trust in me that I can achieve this position.
I always feel blessed by founder members like Dr. HG Doctor, and Dr. Pradeep Chowbey founder president of APHS, Dr. Anil Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Khullar, and all past presidents. Dr. Sandeep Dave, and Dr. Ramesh Agarwalla who constantly guided me. Our immediate past president. Dr. Deepraj Bhandarkar has set the bar for Scientific activities so high that it is really a challenge for me.
However, I have been really blessed with secretary Dr. Sarfraz Baig a multitalented personality, experienced very sincere & again multifaceted person like Dr. Sumeet Shah as treasurer, president-elect Dr. Manish Baijal, and of course Dr. Deepraj Bhandarkar our immediate past president. Along with these, we have very dynamic sincere, and enthusiastic vice presidents and executive council members to support and guide me in all activities. I trust in teamwork, and every member of society is important to me and I shall be accessible all the time for you.
Regarding scientific activities, webinars “What is in the case” are very popular event which is bringing a lot of interest, particularly in younger surgeons. I wish to continue this program as it is without any change in title/time. In addition to this, there will be webinars by senior experts in the field, I shall share the details.
Our upcoming annual conference has been awarded to our Vice President Dr. Ashutosh Soni– Indore, and I am sure he has already started working on this. Apart from that, there are many other activities on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channel, focused zonal workshops, video lectures/seminars, etc., we are planning.
